Ful Medames

Jordanian version of Fava Beans, often had for breakfast.


Serves 3-4


2 cup fava beans
to taste extra virgin olive oil
to taste sea salt
to taste cucumber chopped
to taste tomato chopped
to taste lemon juice


  • Cook fava beans: Add 3 time water, bring to boil,simmer till tender.
  • Serve with toppings of your choice: Olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, freshly chopped vegetables and herbs.


  • This is a perfect protien for breakfast. Beans can be cooked in advance, and add any toppings the morning of.
