Hummus - Jordanian
This hummus is much lighter than the Greek variety, and served with every meal in Jordan.
1 cans chickpeas drained
1/2 cusp tahini
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
to taste sea salt
1 tbsp cumin powder
1/2 cup water
- Combine all ingredients except water in a food processor.
- Add water till the consistency is creamy and smooth.
- Garnish with olive oil, chopper mint leaves, tomatoes and cucumber - optional.
